🛡️ Security and Privacy at Parsio
We built Parsio with security in mind from day one. This page gives you a straightforward overview of how we protect your data, with links to our formal policies on the main website.
Key points at a glance

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest (AES-256).
-
You own your content. We don’t sell it and we don’t use it to train AI/LLMs.
-
You control retention (commonly 1–180 days) and can delete your data at any time.

How we keep data safe
We use modern TLS (HTTPS) to protect data while it’s moving, and AES-256 encryption to protect data where it’s stored. Our compute and networking run on Hetzner, with data centers in Germany (ISO/IEC 27001-certified). We use additional trusted providers for storage and other services. Access to production systems is limited to trained team members on a need-to-know basis, and we monitor systems around the clock. We also perform frequent, automated backups and regularly test restore procedures to help prevent data loss.
How we handle your data
Your emails, documents, and extracted fields are yours. When you use Parsio to parse data, you act as the Data Controller and Parsio acts as your Data Processor—we process your data only to provide the service you’ve requested. We don’t sell your data and we don’t use customer data to train or improve AI or LLM models. You can set a retention window (often between 1 and 180 days) and delete items—or your account—whenever you need.

Compliance basics
If you need data processing terms, review our DPA. Information about GDPR, data subject rights, and international transfers is on our GDPR page. A broader view of our program is on the Security page.
Where your data is hosted
Our compute and networking run on Hetzner, with data centers in Falkenstein and Nuremberg, Germany (ISO/IEC 27001-certified). Documents are stored in encrypted Amazon S3 buckets; application data lives in MongoDB Atlas. Data is processed in the EU and US; where required, Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) cover the transfer.
Subprocessors
We work with a small number of vetted providers for hosting, storage, payments, support, and AI. We share only what’s necessary for them to deliver their service. See the current list on our Security page.
