This guide explains how to automatically forward incoming Gmail messages to another email address. This is useful if you want to send emails to another inbox or connect Gmail with third-party tools that process emails automatically.
Turn on automatic forwarding

Open Gmail using the account you want to forward messages from.
In the top right, click Settings (the gear icon), then select See all settings.
Open the Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab.
In the Forwarding section, click Add a forwarding address.
Enter the email address you want to forward messages to.
Click Next β Proceed β OK.
A verification email will be sent to that address. Open it and click the verification link.
Go back to the Gmail settings page and refresh your browser.
Open the Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab again.
In the Forwarding section, select Forward a copy of incoming mail to, and choose the verified email address.
Choose what should happen to the Gmail copy of the emails.
We recommend Keep Gmailβs copy in the Inbox.Scroll down and click Save Changes.
Only forward certain messages
If you want to forward only specific emails (for example, emails from a particular sender or with a specific subject), you can create a Gmail filter.
When creating the filter, select Forward it to and choose the email address you want to forward those messages to.
If you donβt see the forwarding address in the list, make sure automatic forwarding is enabled by following the steps above.
Important limitations
Gmail allows forwarding up to 500 emails per day.
This limit applies across all forwarding rules and filters.
